Prayer to Relieve Bodily Pain


令我身体致病受苦痛的有缘众生，令我身体感觉不舒服，令我产生怀疑、怨恨、后悔的所有有缘众生：

To the beings who make me sick, feel bad, hateful, doubtful, and regretful,



现在，请你们静心听我的真心忏悔。

Could you now please calm down, and listen to me? I now repent sincerely.



以前，是我因为无明，因为无知，令你们受到了大伤害，受到了大痛苦。现在我学佛了，知道是我错了。过往，是由于我的贪心，嗔恨心，和愚痴的行为所造成的，我现在向你们真心、诚心的忏悔认错。愿你们能接受我真诚的忏悔和认错。冤冤相报何时了呢？

It was because of ignorance and delusion that I inflicted great harm and pain on you. Now that I have come to practice the Buddha Dharma, I have realized I was wrong in doing so. It was because of greed, hatred, and ignorance that I made the mistakes. Now I sincerely apologize to you and repent of them. May you please accept my apologies. After all, there is never an end of taking revenge.



现在，我跟师父修行佛法，一心向佛，愿成佛道。也请你们一起跟我修炼佛法，能离苦得乐，能升天享福。并且我愿意将念《长寿经》（或《长寿咒》）的功德回向给你们。只要你们和我一样，愿意学着放下仇恨心、怨恨心、和报复心，静心听我为你们，念此《长寿经》（或长寿咒），以此经（咒语）的功德，你们能现世消灾免难，无诸灾障，无诸苦痛，无诸忧悲苦恼，得大安乐，现世得长寿命，死后往生梵天享福。

I am now following Master Zhenlin in cultivating the Buddha Dharma. With my heart fully devoted to the Buddha, I wish to attain Buddhahood. I would like to invite you to cultivate it together with me, through which you shall gain relief from suffering, and enter the heaven to enjoy heavenly bliss.



Besides, I shall transfer the merits and virtues from reciting the Sutra of Longevity (or the Mantra of Longevity, which is contained in the Sutra), to you. As long as you agree to learn to let go of hatred and revenging, which is what I am trying to do now, calm down, and listen to me recite the Sutra of Longevity (or the Mantra of Longevity), you shall be relieved from disasters and suffering, free from afflictions and sorrow, and gain great peace, happiness and a long life in the present life. After your present life is over, you will be reborn in the Brahamn Heaven and enjoy heavenly bliss there.



如果你们还暂时放不下仇恨报复心的话，继续扰乱我的身心，令我身体不舒服，让我不能安心修行佛法，还是怨恨、报复、仇恨的话，以因果律就当得：现世你们会多灾多难，得大痛苦，忧悲苦恼，得短命报，死后当堕阿鼻地狱、无间地狱，此地狱中无有是处，一日之中，万死万生，受大苦痛，无有休息，从劫至劫，无有出期。报尽纵得人生，聋盲喑哑，苦楚难忍，无有穷尽，那又何苦呢？

However, if you refuse to let go the hatred and revenging, but continue to make me feed bad physically, or disturb me in the cultivation of the Dharma, and remain hateful and revengeful, you shall, according to the Law of Cause and Effect, be suffering constantly from disasters, great pain, sorrow, and afflictions. As retribution, you shall be short-lived, and fall into the Avici Hell and the Uninterrupted Hell after you die, where you shall undergo great torture throughout the day and day after day, from one kalpa to another, without any respite. Even if you are able to obtain a human form after the retribution is over, your six roots shall be incomplete. You will be born deaf, blind, dumb and mute. The suffering is just untold. Why not just let go the hatred and revenging?



希望你们能听明白我的肺腑之言，静心恭敬和我一起修炼佛法，念此《长寿经》（或咒），以此经（或咒）功德力，随愿升天享福，我们只要越恭敬，往生的境界越高，甚至能到极乐世界享福，不再受三途苦，不受轮回之苦。

I am saying this to you from the bottom of my heart with complete sincerity. It is my hope that you calm down, and join me in cultivating the Buddha Dharma. Let us recite the Sutra of Longevity (or Mantra of Longveity) together, with due respect, you shall be able to enter the Brahman Heaven to enjoy heavenly blessings there thanks to the merits and virtues from upholding it. The more respect you show, the higher the heaven you shall be reborn. In fact, you may even be reborn in the Pureland of Ultimate Bliss. Never shall you have to undergo suffering in the Three Evil Paths (the Path of Animals, the Path of Hungry Ghosts, and the Path of Hell), nor be subject to the wheel of transmigration again.



好，现在我们开始念《长寿经》（或长寿咒）了，请你们能听话配合，暂时放下怨恨报复的心，一起念，你们必能升天享福。

Let us now recite the Sutra of Longevity (or Mantra of Longevity) together. Please accept my suggestions, calm down, let go of hatred and revenging, and join me in the recitation. For sure you will enter the Heaven and enjoy heavenly bliss.



然后，念咒语或《长寿经》。念完后回向。

Recite the Sutra of Longevity or the Mantra of Longevity. Do not forget to transfer the merits and virtues after the recitation.

愿以此功德，回向给令我致病，受苦痛的所有有缘众生，及令我身体感觉不舒服的，所有有缘众生，令我产生怀疑怨恨后悔的所有有缘众生，愿你们早生梵天享福，也让我的病体能速得康复。

May the merit and virtue accrued from reciting the Sutra/Mantra,

Be transferred to the beings who make me sick, feel bad, hateful, doubtful, and regretful.

May you enter the Brahman Heaven, and enjoy heavenly bliss there, and

I get fully recovered from the disease as soon as possible.

4-其实这个忏悔文（心的祈祷之二），不单可以治病，而且还可以用于生活的任何方面，如果你没有病的话，只是夫妻不和，穷困潦倒等世间的任何情况，都可以用得到，只是把病的部分，改成你现在的处境，如：求财，就改成：阻碍我得到财富的所有有缘众生，就可以了。

4-Please kindly note that the prayer works not only for curing diseases, but is applicable to solving all kinds of problems we face in life, such as marital problems, financial problems, etc. We only need to change “To the beings who make me sick” to “To the beings who make my family life unhappy” or “To those who prevent me from making money”, and it will help us in solving them.
