Huayan World, Appearing For You

The Second World Buddhist Forum just had its inauguration at Wuxi and closure ceremony at Taibei. More than 1,800 Buddhist clergies and laities from almost sixty countries and regions actively participated in this grand event.

Recalling the history, it was during the most prosperous period of Tang Dynasty, many foreign guests came to the current court. Although that was a temporarily refulgence, but it recorded a vast magnificent history appeared one thousand years ago, which had an influence till now, and it will extend to a further future.

Today, a harmonious world, a synergy condition, is a pleasurable position for us, but it is also pressing us. The successful completion of the Second World Buddhist Forum made us found that the world Buddhism owning Chinese characteristic and Chinese Buddhism going to the world, and that showed a situation that Buddhism is becoming a global religion apparently.

With the globalization of Buddhism, Buddhist English is requested to be spread and popularized among Buddhists. At the same time, it also can be said to promote Buddhist English. The power of apotheosis is without end. The 11th Master Panchan who delivered a speech in English at the 2nd World Buddhist Forum is the expositor、validater and precursor of this kind of opinion.

Therefore, I, Bhiksu Benxing, added a correlation English column in my personal blog, to introduce Buddhist English and English Buddhism.

Buddhism is for the whole world, so does English, and internet serves the world more. Buddhism, English and internet which have international view、breadth of mind and condition, once may spontaneously combine together without interruption. By then, I will definitely believe that Huayan world which is similar to indra will be royalty、strangeness and infinite charm.
